LeviCell enrichment involves aspirating cells through a wide microfluidic channel. The cells then proceed to levitate within the cartridge, where they are shielded from frictional forces during levitation and collection.
The only moving part of the system is the pumps, which themselves utilize less then 1 PSI of pressure to aspirate the cell suspension. The pressure experienced by cells in levitation is so low that it cannot be measured using "PSI" as the unit of measure.
