Levitation Technology Does Not Affect Cellular Ratios Assessed Via Flow Cytometry

A brief review of the affect of levitation on downstream flow cytometer analyses.

Levitation is a perfectly viable solution for sample clean up prior to subsequent flow cytometry assays. The Levitation Agent is inert and does not alter or negatively impact the cells, nor does it bias cell subset recovery or prevent epitope binding of antibodies. A user can expect statistically equivalent cellular representations in their flow data following levitation. This does not apply to flow panels or analyses that do not utilize a viability gate to exclude dead cells. See example data below.
